Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On an Indian spearhead in red 3 1/8 inches (7.94 cm) in height and 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in width on which appears the words USA in chief and CANADA in center running vertically, all letters in white.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 14 September 1942.  It was rescinded on 2 April 1959.  (TIOH Dwg. No. A-1-255)
