Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a shieldshaped embroidered item, arced at top edge with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border blazoned as follows:  Or, a stylized diamond arched inwardly at each side.  Attached above the shield a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "LOWER RICHLAND" in black letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.


Symbolism

Black and gold (yellow) are the school colors.  The school's nickname is "Diamonds"


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 17 May 88 currently amended to include a manufacturing drawing on 7 July 2016.
