Description

On a red horizontal rectangular embroidered item, arcing convexly at the top, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, a dark red horizontal rectangle arcing convexly at the top, a demi-bulldog facing the viewer, with dark red details and collar, white spikes on collar, teeth, eyes and pupil of eyes, inscribed on the red portion, "MARTINSVILLE" arced at top and at base "BULLDOGS," in white.  Overall dimensions 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in height and 3-1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in width.


Symbolism

Red and white are the school colors. The bulldog symbolic of the cadet's fidelity, strength and tenacity, is the mascot.


Background
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was originally authorized 7 May 1991, it is currently being amended to update the manufacturing drawings and to add the ACU color conversions on 2 MAY 2018.
