On a white vertical rectangle embroidered item, arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, issuing from the left side, a stylized white tiger Argent, edged and detailed blue, to the right of the tiger, four (4) vertically placed red lightning bolts. Attached above, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) blue border and inscribed "TIGERS" in blue; attached below, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed "BATTALION" in blue. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.
Blue and white are the school colors. The Tiger is the school's mascot which reflects strength and tenacity, denoting the cadet's determination for military and academic excellence. The four red lightning flashes alludes to the tiger's claw marks which signifies courage, also symbolizing the four beliefs of the Hemingway High School cadets knowledge is power, learning in a caring environment, respect for others and family, and associating themselves with excellence, dignity, honor and intellect which are traits the cadets reflect in all their goals and accomplishments.
