A stylized purple shield bordered dark blue, above four colored bands in base, from top, green, scarlet, dark blue and mid-blue debruising a light blue and green celestial globe gridlined dark blue, all surmounted by two swords saltirewise points up in proper colors between a gold lightning flash in dexter, a writing quill in sinister, an enflamed torch above, and a gold demi-wreath of laurel below; in chief seven mullets arched below the words JOINT ENABLING CAPABILITIES COMMAND all gold; on the bark blue border in base the letters USJFCOM in gold.
The terrestrial globe emphasizes the worldwide capabilities of the organization. The torch symbolizes intelligence; the lightning flash and quill represent respectively speedy transfer of information and writing. The wreath of laurel symbolizes continued growth and the commitment to combat hostile forces. The four bands in base refer to, from top down, the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. The grouping of stars recalls the first seven Joint Enabling Capabilities to make up the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command. The crossed swords denote readiness, military might and symbolize the cutting edge of the organization. Together, the lightning flash, torch, quill and swords represent four entities within the organization, namely the Joint Communications Support Element, the Intelligence Quick-Reaction Teams, the Joint Public Affairs Support Element and the Joint Deployable Teams respectively. The four functional areas of the Joint Deployable Teams in combination with the Joint Communications Support Element, the Intelligence Quick-Reaction Teams and the Joint Public Affairs Support Element make up the seven Joint Enabling Capabilities, referred to by the seven mullets in chief. Gold signifies excellence.
