Heraldry Multi

A shield shaped embroidered item blazoned as follows: Argent a demi-panther regardant eyed Sable and langued Or grasping a canon bendwise of the last.  Attached above the shield a yellow scroll inscribed "LANETT" in black letters and all within a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Black and gold are the school colors. The panther is the school's mascot. The panther grasps a cannon, referring to the school's location to nearby Fort Tyler where the last battle of the Civil War was fought.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized on 7 March 1995, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 27 January 2016.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-388)

A gold colored metal and epoxy device, 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width consisting of a gold rhombus displaying three black panthers springing from lower left to upper right. Attached below the rhombus a black scroll inscribed, "PANTHERS" in gold metal. Attached above the rhombus the ends of the scroll.  

 The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 7 March 1995, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 27 January 2016.
