Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a golden orange disc with a 1/8 inch (32.cm) black border 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall, a black tiger's paw print below the inscription "MIZZOU" in black letters 3/8 inch (.95 cm) in height.


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 6 July 1979. It was amended on 17 December 1980. The patch was cancelled due to a new design on 5 December 1984. It was amended to include cable numbers of colors on 11 August 1987, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 11 January 2016. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-25)

Description

A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height and width overall consisting of a shield diagonally divided from dexter top to sinister base black and gold, on the upper division a white open book open book and on the lower a light brown bear standing on four paws; on a gold scroll outside the shield base the inscription "SALUS POPULI" in black letters.


Background

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 2 March 1959, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 11 January 2016.
