Attached above the shield a yellow scroll, edged blue and inscribed "MCMRON 5" in golden yellow letters, and edged in blue. Attached beneath the shield a blue bi-parted scroll inscribed to the left "OUR WAKE" and to the right "YOUR PATH" in yellow letters.
Blue and gold are the colors traditionally associated with the United States Navy. The gauntlet is a symbol of MCMRON 5's capacity to promote a secure maritime environment.
