Joint Military Intelligence Training Center
Seal

Description
Medium blue and gold are the colors traditionally associated with the Department of Defense and its activities and reflect the joint components of the command. The shield represents a strong defense while the griffin (a heraldic beast comprised of a lion and an eagle with ears) embodies the qualities of strength, cognizance and vigilance. The griffin grasps three arrows, adapted from the Department of Defense seal, symbolizing the primary military services. The border represents unity and is gold to denote excellence. The torches which support the shield are indicative of knowledge, training and leadership. The oak branches imply strength, growth and potential. The rose highlights the term sub rosa, underscoring the Joint Military Intelligence Training Centers intelligence mission.
