Lightning flashes are indicative of communication, speed, and the ability to be anywhere at any time. The four swords signify the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force. The swords positioning implies the joint efforts of a central goal. The sword serves as the unifying element and underlines the tactical nature of the unit. The spear head pommel alludes to the Special Operations Command lineage.
