Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a maroon rectangular shaped embroidered item convexly arced at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border, a silver gray helmet in profile to the right detailed maroon. Attached above, a maroon scroll inscribed, "MCHS" and below, a maroon scroll inscribed "KNIGHTS" all Silver Gray. Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) width.


Symbolism

Maroon and silver are the school colors.  The helmet is the crest of the school's coat of arms.


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 27 November 1987, it is currently being amended to update the manufacturing drawings and to add the ACU color conversions on 19 September 2017. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-56)

Description

On a silver metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1 1/8 inch (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Sanguine, a helm affronté Argent (Silver) detailed of the first. Attached below the shield, a maroon scroll turned silver inscribed "SANS TACHE" in Silver.


Symbolism

Maroon and silver are the school colors. The helmet is the crest of the school's coat of arms. The motto of the school is "Sans Tache" which translates to "Without Strain."
