The coconut trees are emblematic of perseverance as the Hawaiians used every part of the life-sustaining plants throughout their history. The map of the Hawaiian Islands surrounded by blue is reflective of Kauai's geographical location in the island chain and being one of the oldest inhabited islands. Blue is indicative of the Pacific Ocean, where the islands are located. Green and White are the school's colors. Green personifies the lush tropical vegetation of the "Garden Isle" and white signifying the purity and integrity of the people of Kapa'a. The school's motto of "KŪ I KA ŌMA'OMA'O" translates to "We Stand Green", referring to both the school colors as well as the natural resources of the Hawaiian Islands.
