On a garnet disc edged with a thin yellow border, a yellow chevron interlaced
by an eagle in flight to the right, wings elevated; all within a black designation
band edged on the outside with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, inscribed
at top ASTRONAUT and HIGH SCHOOL bottom all in yellow letters. The
overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.

Garnet and Antique gold are the school colors. Garnet symbolizes determination and strength possessed by the cadets. Antique gold is reminiscent of historical and established legacy as well as wealth and generosity. As the school mascot, the bald eagle represents courage while its elevated wings are symbols of protection. The golden chevron signifies the ROTC program and alludes to the letter “A” for the name of the school. All the
images combined are adapted from the school’s logo.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 18 December 2020.

On a gold metal and epoxied hexagonal shaped device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height consisting of a black background displaying a scattering of stylized stars, between issuing from the base a gold demi-eagle displayed, head to the right and wings inverted, below a pair of arched maroon contrails, each issuing from the sides of the hexagon converging at the top to a gold flight symbol, at center. Attached below the shield, a maroon scroll inscribed “STRENGTH FROM WITHIN” in gold letters.

Garnet and antique gold are the School colors. The use of black and golden stars illustrates outer space and points to the school’s location on the Space Coast. The delta and the two contrails resembles the shape of a chevron. The chevron is adapted from the seal of the Kennedy Space Center while highlighting its proximity to the school. The eagle represents the War Eagle, the school’s mascot and symbolizes power. The motto “STRENGTH FROM WITHIN” further emphasizes the eagle’s inner strength and courage the cadets embody.

The Shoulder loop insignia was approved on 18 December 2020.
