Symbolism

Red and white are the school colors; silver and gold denote honor and success.  The scenic background refers to Corbin, Kentucky’s historical and state parks, the pride and joy of the community.  The redbone hound is a symbol of school pride, chosen as the mascot back in the early 1920s.  The redhound sits on guard with loyalty and respect, paying tribute to the school by wearing a shield inscribed with a red “C.”
