On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8-inch yellow border, blazoned as follows: Per pale Tenné and Azure a quill pen and a sabre in saltire Or, pen point to dexter base and sabre point to dexter chief. Overall dimensions are 2-3/4 inches in width by 3 inches in height.

Symbolism
Orange and blue are the colors traditionally associated with the school. Orange denotes fidelity. Blue signifies loyalty. Gold (yellow) represents generosity and elevation of the mind. The quill symbolizes the academic standards of the JROTC program. The saber suggests the military orientation of the students.

On a gold metal and epoxied shield shaped device 1-1/8 inches in height blazoned as follows: Per pale Tenné and Azure between a horseshoe Or detailed in dexter of the first and in sinister of the second an unfurled scroll in pale of the third bearing a flower Argent garnished of the third leaved Vert. Attached above the shield, a gold scroll inscribed “OPTIMIS” in blue letters. Attached below the shield, a gold scroll inscribed “DEDICATI” in blue letters.
