Symbolism
Oriental Blue and Silver Gray are the colors of the U.S. Army Military Intelligence branch. The Alamo, an iconic Texas landmark, honors the unit’s designation as the historic Alamo Station. The black keyhole adorned at the building’s top center represents cybersecurity and cryptologic operations gathered and concealed from adversaries. Above the Alamo, a sphinx is depicted as a divine, wise protector. Its golden hue emphasizes diligence and power while the alert stance depicts vigilance and readiness for swift action. The key gripped by the sphinx’s tail signifies authority and control over confidential information.
