Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Per chevron, Gules and paly of six pieces, Or and Sable, a bend counterchanged, in chief a garland of the second, the dexter half laurel, the sinister oak, within a bordure dovetailed chequey of the first and Argent.

Symbolism
The insignia is that of the parent organization, the 110th Field Artillery Regiment, with the addition of the border of scarlet and white (silver) of the Engineers.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 19 August 1942. It was rescinded/cancelled effective 27 July 1960.

Per chevron, Gules and paly of six pieces, Or and Sable, a bend counterchanged, in chief a garland of the second, the dexter half laurel, the sinister oak, within a bordure dovetailed chequey of the first and Argent. That for the regiments and battalions of the Maryland Army National Guard: On a wreath of the colors Or and Gules, a cross botonny per cross quarterly Gules and Argent. QUERCUS CRESCIT (The Oak Grows).

Symbolism
The coat of arms is that of the parent organization, the 110th Field Artillery, with the addition of the border of the scarlet and white of the Engineers. The crest is that of the Maryland Army National Guard. The motto is based upon the motto of the 110th Field Artillery (As the Oak) and is intended as an inspiration to the personnel to continue the honorable achievement of the parent organization.
