A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Purpure, a wildcat's face Sable garnished Argent: above and between two Purple oil derricks pilewise each issuing a Black gusher of oil arcing and combining as a scroll above the shield then inscribed "PRIDE AND PROGRESS" in Silver letters.
Purple, black and white are the colors of the school. The wildcat is the school mascot. "Pride and Progress" is the school motto. The derricks represent the "wildcat drillers" associated with the early history of the school's location and reflect the cadets' dedication to school, community and country.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 4 November 1999.
