On a white vertical rectangle arched convexly at bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a red raguly pile reversed charged with five white lances points to chief; Attached below the shield a white scroll inscribed "EAST UNION" in blue letters, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/8 inches (6.03 cm) in width.
Red and blue are the school colors. The lance alludes to the school's mascot, the lancer. The raguly pile suggests dramatic movement forward and symbolizes the cadets' aggressive physical and mental training.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 21 July 1998. Amended 11 January 2004 to correct the measurement.
