Description/Blazon
A shield blazoned: Per fess dancetty of two enhanced per chief Argent and Tenné a bald eagle stooping proper, within a diminished 1/8 inch (.32 cm) border Azure. Attached above the shield a White scroll edged with a narrow Blue border and inscribed "WAR EAGLE" in Blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Orange, blue and white are the school colors. The shield divided dancetty resembles the letter "W" suggesting the name of the school. The bald eagle reflects the school mascot, a war eagle.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 8 May 1997.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in diameter consisting of a light blue disc surrounded by a blue circular designation band inscribed "MOVING TOWARD EXCELLENCE" arcing at top in silver letters: overall the front view of a silver steam locomotive detailed blue.

Symbolism
White and blue are the school colors. The locomotive symbolizes the origin of Waynesboro as a railroad stop and reflects the cadets' proud tradition of serving school, community and country.

The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 8 May 1997.
