Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a white circular shaped embroidered item edged with an 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border, a blue rhombus (diamond-shape), with four sides arched inwardly, surmounted by a light blue rhombus voided, bearing in the center a white polestar; all within an arched inscription above “AYNOR HIGH SCHOOL” and arched inscription below “BLUE JACKETS,” all in light blue letters. The overall diameter is 3 1/8 inches (7.94 cm).


Symbolism

Blue, periwinkle blue, and white are the school colors. The arched rhombuses allude to the four-pointed Aynor star, the traditional symbol of the school, exemplifying the dynamic educational experience gained by being part of the Blue Jacket battalion. The polestar signifies educational and military direction.


Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally approved on 7 June 1996, it was hereby canceled on 22 January 2021, due to a new design and description.
