A silver colored metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent (Silver Gray), a Highlander head erased below the shoulders of the first, detailed Azure, garnished Gules; all within a diminutive border of the last." Attached above the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "HIGHLANDERS" in Silver letters and attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "LOYAL FOREVER" in Silver letters.
Red, white and royal blue are the school colors. Red symbolizes courage, a trait the cadets possess in conquering any task or obstacle that comes their way. White (Silver) reflects maturity a characteristic the cadets' show in their conduct. Blue alludes to loyalty, a virtue the cadets possess for each other and their country. The school's mascot is the Highlander; a regimental Scottish warrior of the highlands of Scotland. The students identify with their mascot and the fighting spirit it represents. The school's motto is "Loyal Forever".
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 11 October 2013.
