Description/Blazon
A circular insignia 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall, consisting of an inner white disc on which is the blue and white silhouette of a matador brandishing a red cape. Around the disc, a blue band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, inscribed "ESTACADO" at the top and "MATADORS" in base in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Blue and white are the school's colors. The mascot nickname for the school is "The Matadors."

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 18 April 1974. It was amended to add subdued colors and metric measurements on 7 August 1992. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-273)

Description
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in diameter overall consisting of a blue disc displaying a matador with cape in base metal; all encircled by a blue designation band and inscribed "ESTACADO HIGH SCHOOL" at top and "MATADORS" at bottom in silver.

Symbolism
Royal blue and silver are the school colors.  Royal blue (blue) represents loyalty, a trait the cadets show in their faithfulness to each other and their country.  Silver (white) symbolizes perfection, an attribute which the cadets reflect in their meticulous attention to detail.  The matador is the school's mascot and portrays courage and strength in the face of adversity.  The students identify with their mascot in their pursuit of academic as well as athletic achievements.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 25 February 2015.
