On a blue disc edged red, 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall within a red ring an eye above a cloud and a flaming lamp resting on a book all in red; outside the ring, the inscription "UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND VA" in dark blue letters.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 14 December 1969, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 19 May 2016. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-1)
