A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per fess enhanced wavy Azure and Argent, in chief a sea lion Or and in base three bars of the first.

Symbolism
The colors blue and white are used for Infantry. The golden sea lion represents the unit's Philippine Presidential Unit Citation. The colors blue and gold indicate the organization was a Chemical Warfare Battalion at that time. The blue bars symbolize the Battalion's three campaigns in the Pacific during World War II.
