Shield.  Vert, a shepherd’s crook and sword in saltire Or.              

Crest.  Issuant from a wreath Or and Vert, a gothic arch Or flowing at it’s base a wavy bar Argent fimbriated Azure, superimposed at center by a stylized bullet Sable charged with a mullet of the first and bordered of the same.

Motto.  HONOR VIGILANCE JUSTICE.       

Shield.  Green and yellow are the colors for the Military Police Corps.  The shepherd’s crook, adapted from the arms of several cities of the Rhine Province, alludes to World War II service in that area, and is also symbolic of solicitous leadership and guidance.  The sword indicates the military character of such leadership.                 

Crest.  The gothic arch is seen from multiple vantage points along the Rhine river, symbolizing the unit’s Rhineland campaign participation credit. The bullet shaped black background and gold star further allude to the 385 Military Police battalion’s participation in the Rhineland campaign.

The coat of arms was originally approved on 13 September 1955. The coat of arms was amended to add a crest on 10 July 2020.
