Blazon

Shield

Gules, a castle Argent mortared Sable bearing a musket and a battle-axe saltirewise of the like with hand grip Gules, in base a wavy bar Azure fimbriated of the second.

Crest

That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Washington Army National Guard:  From a wreath Argent and Gules, a raven with wings endorsed issuing out of a ducal coronet all Proper.

Symbolism

Shield

Scarlet and white are the colors traditionally associated with Engineer organizations.  White is the original color of Infantry and signifies the Engineers alternative mission to organize as Infantry.  The blue wavy bar suggests the many waterways of the Pacific Northwest, home base of the Battalion.  The castle is the traditional engineer symbol.  The axe symbolizes sappers and the musket is for Infantry.

Crest

The crest is that of the Washington Army National Guard.
