Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a gray pentagon shape embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border, 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in width by 3 21/64 (8.45cm) inches high overall, a gray sphere edged and grid-lined dark blue, surmounted by a black stylized silhouette of a soldier centered, bearing a ruck sack and grasping a weapon, muzzle pointed upwards, all between four dark blue stars, two in the left and two in the right; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border.



Symbolism

The pentagon shape symbolizes the commands role and significance in the Human Resources Command (HRC) mission. The globe suggests the worldwide mission to support the soldier, and providing resources necessary for an optimum running force. The four stars signify the four components of the Army: Active, Guard, Reserves, and Civilian. The soldier stands in full gear and bearing a weapon, ready to achieve its mission. It further alludes to the commands principle priority of supporting the Armys most important asset: the soldier.



Background

The DCS,G1 approved a request to redesign HRCs insignia with an effective date of 1March 2019.
