Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Buff, nine billets chevronwise Azure above a dragon's head issuant from base Gules. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll doubled and inscribed "DRAGON SUPPORT" in Gold.

Symbolism
Buff (gold) and scarlet are the colors traditionally used by Support units. The chevron, a symbol of strength and support, is comprised of heraldic billets in blue to signify the unit's aviation mission. The dragon reflects the organization's motto.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 12 July 1996.
