Beret Flash
A shield-shaped insignia with a semi-circular base, with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) blue border, 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width and 2 1/2 inches (6.35cm) in height overall, consisting of a blue background bearing a golden orange diagonal bar, 3/8 inch in width. The Flash was approved for wear by personnel of the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Group on 29 Jul 1985. On 9 May 2001 the flash was redesignated for the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Brigade.
Background Trimming
An oval-shaped device with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) blue border, 2 1/2 inches (6.35cm) in height and 1 7/8 inch (4.76cm) in width, consisting of a blue background bearing a golden orange diagonal bar, 3/8 inch (.95cm) in width. The Background Trimming was approved for wear by personnel of the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Group on 29 Jul 1985. On 9 May 2001 the trim was redesignated for the Pathfinder Platoon, 12th Aviation Brigade.
