Beret Flash
A shield-shaped embroidered item with a semicircular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width overall consisting of a green background edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border. The beret flash was originally approved for the U.S. Army Special Forces Command on 6 March 1995. It was redesignated for the 1st Special Forces Command on 10 November 2016. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-4-59)
Background Trimming
An oval-shaped embroidered item 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height overall and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width overall consisting of a green background edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border. The background trimming was approved for the U.S. Army Special Forces Command on 6 March 1995. It was redesignated for the 1st Special Forces Command on 10 November 2016. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-6-82)
