On a disc chequy Azure and Argent, in base a radar antenna Or fimbriated Sable emitting six sound waves in graduating size bendwise of the last, three mullets, two and one, above the antenna and one in dexter base all of the third; all within a narrow border Yellow. 

Attached above the disk, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "SEMPER VIGILANTES" in Yellow letters.

Attached below the disk, a Blue scroll edged with a narrow Yellow border and inscribed "623D AIR CONTROL FLT" in Yellow letters.

Ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow are the Air Force colors.   Blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations.  Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel.  The checkered background is representative of the plotting boards peculiar to an Air Control and Warning units of the past.  The radar antenna symbolizes the primary "weapon" of the unit, teaching and guiding aircraft with electronic waves.  The stars represent the unit's four original detachments. The motto, "SEMPER VIGILANTES" tranlates to "EVER VIGIiLANT" in English.
