A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) at its widest point consisting of a gold Torii gate charged on each vertical with a green branch of hedge shrub, between overall in the vertical center a gold lion rampant, all supported in base by a three segmented red scroll inscribed PRIDE IN SERVICE in gold letters.
The lion rampant alludes to the organizations service in Europe. The Torii gate represents service in the Far East and Korea. The branches of hedge shrub refer to the Battalions invention and installation of the steel hedgerow cutters that were placed on the front of tanks in the fighting in Normandy, World War II.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 12 May 1966.

Gules, a lion rampant Or armed and langued Azure, in chief a grenade between two Torii gates all of the second.
Crest
On a wreath Or and Gules, the cutting edge of a guisarme Sable interlaced saltirewise with three branches of hedge shrub couped Vert.

Shield
The grenade represents the Battalions former branch designation. The rampant lion and two Torii gates symbolize the organizations service in Europe, the Far East and Korea for which they received three meritorious awards.
Crest
The crest symbolizes the Battalions invention and installation of the steel hedgerow cutters symbolized by the guisarme (an ancient weapon adapted from an agricultural implement) that was placed on the front of tanks in the fighting in Normandy in World War II.
The coat of arms was approved on 8 February 1966.
