Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a dark blue embroidered disc-shaped item edged with an 1/8 inch (.32cm) orange border all within a white circular designation band edged with an 1/8 inch (.32cm) orange border and inscribed LAKES HIGH SCHOOL at top and LANCER BATTALION at bottom in black, a white knight astride a white horse bridled orange and grasping in his right hand a white lance horizontally throughout overall. The overall diameter is 3 1/2 inches (8.89cm).

Symbolism
Orange and blue are the school colors. The JROTCs nickname is the Lancer Battalion. The knight symbolizes education, courage, loyalty and honor.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 17 June 1996 currently amended to update the manufacturing drawing on 3 October 2014.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-492)

Description
A silver color shield shaped metal device 1-1/4 inches (3.18cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Azure, between two bends tenn a lance bendwise Argent (Silver). Attached above the shield a scroll inscribed LANCERS in blue.

Symbolism
 Orange and blue are the school colors. The lance alludes to the schools team name, The Lancers.

The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 17 June 1996 currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 3 October 2014.
