Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a blue shield shaped embroidered item blazoned as follow: Azure a plate charged with a lions head affront couped of the first detailed Argent between two lightning bolts arced in chevron of the last.  Attached above the shield, a blue scroll inscribed RED BANK in white; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89cm) height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and White are the school colors. The lion is the school's mascot symbolizing spirit of the cadets at Red Bank High School. The lightning bolts signify the swiftness of the leadership within the cadet command. The circle denotes continuous education. 

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 6 March 1970 currently amended to update the manufacturing drawing dated 14 November 2014.   (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-1105)

Description
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure, a key fesswise, wards to dexter and downward, surmounted by a torch enflamed, all Argent (Silver Gray) on a chief of the second a lion statant of the first. Attached below the shield, a tripartite Silver scroll inscribed ''ANIMUS SUCCESSUS SCIENTIA in blue letters.

Symbolism
Blue and White are the colors of Red Bank High School. The flaming torch symbolizes knowledge, the intellectual goal of the students of the school.  The key alludes to success, the ultimate achievements and accomplishments which Red Bank High School students can attain.  The roaring lion is indicative of the spirit of the School which is demonstrated by vivacity, pride and enthusiastic effort.  The blue color of the lion is taken from the shoulder sleeve Insignia worn by the JROTC cadets and Red Bank High School.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 28 October 1975 currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 14 November 2014.
