Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom, divided vertically in half, red and silver gray, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a white wildcat head in a 3/4 position, with red tongue, nose and eyes, detailed silver gray.  Attached above the rectangle, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) black border and inscribed LAS VEGAS in red letters.  Attached below the rectangle, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border and inscribed WILDCATS in red letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red and black are the school colors.  Silver gray reflects the states nickname and denotes the heritage of the school within the state. The wildcat is the schools mascot and reflects the cadets quickness and strength to pursue their goals.

Background
The shoulder Sleeve insignia was originally authorized on 26 August 1994 and currently amended to update the manufacturing drawing on 24 November 2014.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-356)
