Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a white disc 3 13/16 inches (9.68 cm) in diameter, the head of Lafayette in profile embroidered in white, maroon, red and gold encircled by a white designation band edge with a  1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border inscribed COLLEGIUM LAFAYETTE VERITAS LIBERABIT 1826  in maroon letters.

Symbolism
 Maroon and white are the college colors. 

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 15 November 1951 and currently amended to include a manufacturing drawing on 13 January 2015.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-237)

Description
A gold color metal rectangular device 1 inch (2.54 cm) in height, divided per bend white and maroon and surmounted by a gold leopard rampant.

Symbolism
Maroon and white are the college colors.  The leopard is representative of the Athletic Department mascot.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 14 December 1951.  It was amended to correct the description and add a symbolism on 4 May 1988 and currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 13 January 2015.
