Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a blue horizontal rectangle edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, a frontiersman demi-figure wearing a raccoon hat, fringed buckskin coat, powder horn and aiming a flintlock rifle, all white detailed and outlined blue.  Below the rifle the inscription FRANKFORD in yellow letters.  The overall dimensions are 2 inches (5.08 cm) in height by 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in width.

Symbolism
 Red and blue are the school colors.  The pioneer is the schools mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 6 March 1996, and currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings, on 10 February 2015 (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-471).

Description
A Silver colored metal and enamel device, 1 1/8 (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned:  Azure, a raccoon hat proper, above a powder horn Argent.  Attached below the shield a red scroll inscribed HOME OF CHAMPIONS in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Red and blue are the school colors.  The raccoon hat and powder horn suggest the nickname Pioneers.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 6 March 1996, and currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 10 February 2015.
