Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a green circular shape embroidered item, a yellow hornet poised to strike, with black eyes and details, white wings with black details, throughout the disc; the wings resting on a white circular designation band inscribed above HAINES CITY HIGH SCHOOL and below HORNETS in black letters, all within a green border 1/8 inch (.32 cm). The overall dimension is 3 1/8 inches (7.94 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Green and white are the school colors. The hornet is the schools mascot; a social animal, it characterizes the true fortitude of the cadet as a future leader within the school and the community. Its position to strike indicates the cadets readiness to undertake strenuous military training and strive for academic excellence.

Description
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height, consisting of a stylized yellow hornet with black details, white stinger and wings, facing the viewer, the hornet superimposed over a green hive, its wings surmounting at the base of two stacked black scrolls inscribed HAINES CITY at top HIGH SCHOOL at bottom and at base a black scroll surmounted across the hornets abdomen, inscribed HORNETS in gold. 

Symbolism
Green and white are the school colors. The hornet is the schools mascot and is poised to sting which reflects the cadets military training. The true character of the cadet symbolizes academic excellence and civic leadership, two qualities the cadets strive for.
