Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a maroon vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a yellow Eagle wings displayed  inverted , grasping in right talons a silver gray sword vertically placed point up and in left talon a silver gray shield; fimbriated black.  Attached above the rectangle, a maroon scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed CENTRAL REGIONAL in yellow letters.  Attached below the rectangle, a maroon scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed EAGLE BATTALION in yellow letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.


Symbolism
Maroon and gold are the school colors.  The golden eagle is the schools mascot, which reflects the strength and spirit of the cadets as they advance in training.  Maroon denotes courage and gold (yellow) symbolizes the high moral standards of the students.  Silver conveys perfection which they strive for when achieving personal as well as academic endeavors.  Black alludes to the determination of the cadets when faced with adversity.  The sword represents leadership while the shield signifies protection.

Description

A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Per saltire Sanguine and Argent (silver), in front of two swords in saltire proper, points to base, an eagle displayed wings inverted Or.  Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed EAGLE BATTALION in Silver.
