A Silver color metal and epoxy shield shape device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) height blazoned as follows; Azure (Dark Blue), between a pall fillet reversed Argent (Silver), in dexter two conjoined theatre masks, one facing to dexter, one to sinister, surmounting the base of a lyre; in sinister a wing foot of Hermes of the second, in base superimposed on a unfurled scroll, a scholars cap Argent. Attached below the shield a Dark blue scroll inscribed JAVELINAS in Silver letters.
Navy blue, silver gray and white are the school colors. The scroll inscription JAVELINAS (peccary), a medium-sized animal, with a strong resemblance to a pig is the schools mascot. Navy blue signifies the loyalty of the cadets, exemplifying their candor as leaders in the school and the community. White refers to clarity of the students to pursue any future endeavor. Silver denotes foresight to flourish in all capabilities. The following images symbolize the comprehensive curriculum available to the PJSA Southwest students masks and lyre represents the theatre and music arts; winged foot indicates the athletic program; cap and scroll conveys the achievement of scholastic success.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 14 August 2015.
