Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a green vertical rectangle embroidered item, arched outwardly at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a top view of a stylized gray hurricane, with orange details and fimbriation. Attached above is an orange scroll edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) black border and inscribed ''WEST HARRISON'' in black letters. Attached below, an orange scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed ''HURRICANES'' in black letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.


Symbolism
Green and orange are the school colors. The Hurricane symbol is the schools mascot. The green is reflective of cadets commitment to the military, as well as their strong efforts in striving for academic excellence. Orange represents commendable leadership to the community and school.

Description
On a Silver color metal and epoxy shield shape device11/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows; Vert, issuant from dexter and sinister six stylized hurricane air streams in pale Argent (Silver gray), three and three; a chief nebuly Argent (Dark gray). Attached to the sides and the bottom of the shield an Orange scroll inscribed "WEST HARRISON" "HURRICANES" in Silver letters.

Symbolism

Green and orange are the school colors. The hurricane air streams allude to the schools mascot, "The Hurricanes." The insignia illustrates a storm scenario - the air streams suggest the hurricane; the gray nebuly chief   signifies the dark   sky   during   a   storm,   all   indication of the cadets determination to defeat any challenge. The green is reflective of cadets commitment to the military, as well as their strong efforts in striving for academic excellence. Orange represents commendable leadership to the community and school.
