Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) black border, blazoned as follows: Quarterly Sable and Gules, a stylized Bulldogs head affronte Argent (Silver Gray) eyed and fanged Argent wearing a collar of the second, spiked of the fourth, all detailed and edged of the first.  Attached above the item a red scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) black border inscribed LAWRENCE in black.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.96 cm) in width.


Symbolism

Red and black are the school colors.  The bulldog is the schools mascot and a sturdy and stalwart protector.


Background
The shoulder sleeve was originally authorized 1 July 1980, it is hereby cancelled due to a new design on 23 March 2018.  TIOH Drawing Number (A-10J-1209)

Description

On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Lozengy Sable and Gules a chevron Argent. Attached below the shield, a black scroll doubled red inscribed YIELD TO NONE in Silver.


Symbolism

Red and black are the school colors. The checkered pattern suggests cooperation and coordination. The chevron conveys the military training and education as a part of the JROTC program.


Background

The shoulder loop was authorized 23 March 2018.
