Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a quartered red and gray vertical rectangular shaped embroidered item arched convexly at top and bottom edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) red border, in the center a vertical black torch with a yellow flame; attached above the item a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) red border inscribed LENAPE in red. Attached below the item a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) red border inscribed INDIANS in red. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.86 cm) width.
Red and gray are the school colors of Lenape High School; named for the Algonquian tribe that inhabited the area. The torch, associated with knowledge and education, signifies the academic and military training of the cadets.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 1 Oct 1997, it is hereby cancelled due to a new design on 19 October 2018. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-516)
Shoulder Loop Insignia
On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Quarterly Gules and Gris, a torch Sable enflamed Or. Attached below the shield, a black tri-parted scroll bearing the inscription TRUTH KNOWLEDGE HONOR in silver.
