On a Gold shield shaped metal and epoxied device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Or, a saltorel Vert between a lamp enflamed Sable in chief, a Caladium leaf in sinister of the second, a demi Dragons head erased issuant from base Vert, to dexter an Orange of the last stalked and leaved Vert. Attached below the shield a Green scroll inscribed LAKE PLACID in Gold letters.
The saltire intimates collaboration and unity. The lamp highlights enlightenment through education and training. The Caladium leaf commemorates the town of Lake Placid, known as the Caladium Capital of the World. The Argus dragon is the schools mascot and is emblematic of respect, wisdom and dignity. The Orange fruit is indicative of the citrus industry of Florida. Green and White are the schools colors.
