Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a black shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height by 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width a white demi-knight in armor with red tabard and helm plume grasping in dexter hand a sword fesswise and in sinister hand a shield blazoned, quartered Gules and Argent, between the inscription NORTH arcing above and FORT MYERS below in red letters.     


Symbolism

Red and white are the school colors.  The red knight is the schools mascot.  The knight is symbolic of protection and reflects the cadets service to school, community, and country.


Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 30 June 1995, it is currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 22 December 2015.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-396)

Shoulder Loop Insignia

Description

A silver colored metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height consisting of a white shield bearing a silver demi-knight in armor, vested in a red tabard and red helm plume, astride a black horse, grasping in his left hand a silver staff flotant therefrom a red pennant.  Attached below the shield a silver scroll inscribed RED KNIGHTS in red letters.
