Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a gray disk embroidered item, edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) black border; an orange image of a leopards head in profile, with black spots and details, white pupils and teeth, and a gray tongue; all within an orange designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "MALVERN" in black letters at the top and "LEOPARD BATTALION" at the bottom. The overall dimensions is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism

Orange and black are the school colors. The leopard is the school schools mascot, chosen by the student body in 1918. This fearsome animal is not only swift and powerful, but it symbolizes three core elements of all Malvern district schools: passion, pride and excellence. Their motto is Forging Future Citizens.
