Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On an Orange shield shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 (.32 cm) Blue border, blazoned as follows: Tenn, issuant from dexter and sinister base, two demi-spears in saltire Proper points upward, each bearing an arched outwardly feather Azure, garnished Argent. Attached above shield, an Orange scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border inscribed SOUTHEAST in Blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.


Symbolism

The traditional stone headed spears adorned with a feather allude to the Seminole tribe, the schools mascot. The spear is indicative of the warrior spirit as well as leadership and directing the way forward. Orange and Blue are the school colors; Orange is vibrant, exemplifying energy and action; Blue is expressive of honor, respect and prestige.

Description

On a shield shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Tenn, between a pair of arched feather quills pilewise reversed Argent (Silver), points upward a demi-spear issuant from base Azure. Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll doubled Orange, inscribed with GO NOLES! in Silver.


Symbolism

The traditional stone headed spear bordered by feathers alludes to the Seminole tribe, the schools mascot. The spear represents the warrior spirit as well as leadership and directing the way forward. Orange and Blue are the school colors; Orange is vibrant, exemplifying energy and action; Blue is expressive of honor, respect and prestige. The motto reflects the mascot of the Native American Seminoles.
