Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a blue disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall a yellow bucking horse between the inscription UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA arcing above and BRONCHOS arcing below all in yellow letters.


Symbolism
Blue and yellow are the school colors.  The Broncho horse is the schools mascot.

Background

The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 11 October 1971.  It was amended due to the school name change on 16 November 1994, currently amended to update the manufacturing drawings on 12 April 2016.  (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-126)

Description

A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Azure, a pallet Or; between a demi-sun emitting nine rectangular rays of the second superimposed by an open book of the second page Argent and winged wheel of the last; on a chief of the second two keys saltirewise Argent.  Attached below the shield, a tri parted Gold scroll inscribed in Latin UBI MOTUS EST, which translates to English: Where the movement is
