On a shield shaped gold metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 (2.86 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Quarterly Or and Purpure, in the first quarter two arrows in saltire points upwards of the second, in the second quarter a graduation cap above a diploma fesswise; in the third quarter a stylized tornado, all of the first and garnished of the second, and in the fourth quarter a torch of the second; all within a diminished bordure Or. Attached below the shield, a Purple scroll inscribed LEADERSHIP EDUCATION TRAINING in Gold.

The two arrows represent leadership and strength; core values of officers in training. The graduation cap and diploma scroll personify the pursuit of education and achievement of goals.
